Comprehending Charlotte: Urban Complexities and the Future of Development in a New South City

The Capitalism Studies program was a co-sponsor of a one-day conference, “Comprehending Charlotte: Urban Complexities and the Future of Development in a New South City.” This event took place on Friday, April 29, 2002, 9:00 am – 3:30 pm, at the Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City, 320 E. 9th Street, Charlotte, NC 28202.  Co-sponsors  included the School of Architecture’s City Building Lab, the Urban Institute, and the Office of Interdisciplinary Studies. The event’s lead organizer was Dr. Jason Newton, the outgoing Capitalism Studies postdoctoral fellow.
